God the Sustainer
Many seniors go into a state of unsurety and depression as they get older. They become more and more unsure of their destiny as their bodies become weaker and less equipped to deal with the tasks of daily living. Many have no choice but to be dependent on others for compassion and care.
Isaiah 46:4 NKJV
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
God, our Father said that He Himself will preserve and sustain us as we get older. He is the One who made us and formed us in our mother’s womb and He will continue to preserve us even until death.
Staying secure on the Word of God and His promises to us even in our golden years is the only way to remain constant and unchanging. It is the only guarantee we truly have in this life. He is our peace, and our guarantee of a hope in this life and the life to come.
